Indian Accompaniments


    Cold Minted Potatoes (Aloo Podina Chat) - One of the more popular chats in
    India, this goes well with all of our entrees.

    Patiala Pilaf - Named after a Punjabi  city, this delightful pilaf has a wonderful
    fragrance and delicate flavor.

         Banaras Style Pilaf - No onions or garlic, but ginger. This is a Hindu dish.

    Mint Pilaf - A specialty of Hyderabad, this green colored rice dish will please.
      
    Whole Wheat Chapatis - The bread of India, made every day in Indian homes.

    Royal Vegetable and Rice Casserole (vegetarian) - This biriyani is the most
    elegant of the vegetarian dishes. Fresh vegetables cooked with a cardamom nut
    sauce are folded into Basmati rice. (A larger version of this is also in our entree
    menu.

    Mountain Dal -  This Nepali dal has a good deep taste.  Goes quite well
    with vegetable dishes.
         
    Plain Basmati Rice -  Just like it says. Goes great with everything!

    Plain Jasmine Rice -  If you prefer.

    Gujarati Mango Chutney -  A little on the warm side.  Made with green mangoes,
    mustard seeds, cumin, clove, cassia, turmeric and cayenne.

    Tamarind Chutney -  A sweet and sour delight.  More of a sauce than a chutney.

    Cilantro-Mint Chutney -  A yogurt based chutney,  goes well with just about
    anything.
